McLuhan fan of the Four Horsemen (my third book was done with Paul Dutton); Coleman ran A Space and had other administrative energies that helped others' flowers' bloom. My understanding of the place through Coach House and those folks (Dewdney, McCaffery, etc.. Ric/Simon). It's fun -- I currently have a doctoral student from Ottawa who is doing a research paper for me on the TRG -- Toronto Research Group (b. p. nichols, McCaffery, etc.), through Frank Davey's journal OPEN LETTER and other sources (appaRently a book onTRG recently out...). It do get thicker, yes. Gould's recordings of the Goldbergs also quite an influence on Ric Powers' THE GOLD BUG VARIATIONS (after which he won a MacArthur genius award). Since others will make the connectino for you, you may want to check that book out ....
